my soul

The louder my soul screams,
The softer my voice seems I walk like a shadow in the crowd,
People pass and ignore me.

For many years I have dwelt,
Seeing the world underground.
Hundreds of tales I could tell Of things I have seen,
The places I have been,
But something's I've said pierce my soul,
Because the thoughts I have, I've stole

Come and see the truth of my Endless lie
If you see me, don't just pass me by,
Tomorrow my soul will scream no more,
And my voice will be heard once more.

Jude the Obscure + Thomas Hardy

This was a okay book I didn't really find it inspiring, I had to read it for school, but to tell you the truth I only read a little bit of it.

Cane River + Lalita Tademy

I also read this book about a month ago and it was extremely wonderful. It's a book about four generations of African American women who survived rape, slavery, the civil war, segregation, and racism. Being African American Myself I think it's something that Touched me a lot. It taught me the human will to survive under great atrocities. Just makes you thankful for what you have.

Alias Grace + Margaret Atwood

I am almost done reading this book and I found it interesting and mind opening. In many ways Grace and I have a lot in common, because she gave up on ever being free because she felt like the world wasn't going to believe her truth but the truth that is interesting and scandalous. The truth isn't as interesting as lies. She was a women who felt like the whole world was against her so why should she think any different.

too cute

My teacher made me feel stupid

My teacher made me feel stupid today
I wanted to run anywhere, from her away
I cried in the inner me, but laughed in the outer
I thought teachers were suppose to be ur inspiration and aspiration
I thought they drew you a world that you can't imagine
They had the power to make you visit hell or heaven
She gave me that look
Like she thought I was useless, ignorant, and with no outlook
She doesn't know my desires
To her It's all satire

Box of sound

Some people are addicted to alcohol
Some to Gamble their childrens college founds on baseball

I am not addicted but intrigued by a little box of sound and light
That sucks me in at sunrise and lets me go at night

My box takes me to places I can't imagine
From Cairo, to Japan, from Jordan to Brooklyn

Sometimes when I had a bad day
my box entertains and make it all go away

Last night we fought
I shut off my box and sat in the same spot

My box draws me in, pretending that it cares about me
But it never lets me get my work done, and it makes the day after bleaky

But My box never lets me down
Its there when i cry and its there when i am mentally drowned

Like all addictions I can't live without my box
It feels like it's always with me where ever i walk

Fradulent friend

You acted like you cared about me
like i meant the world to you
But i found you out for who you are
You are a fradulent friend
With a heart of no emotions no care and vacant
You I looked up to you
You were everything i hoped to be
I wanted to grow up like you
to think like you
to be like you
but you made me realize
that I am better then you will ever be
So i am going to go to sleep tonight and when i wake
The only person i will aspire to be will be me

phrenology

The study of the shape and protuberances of the skull, based on the now discredited belief that they reveal character and mental capacity.
